vikoster:
Interesting and very nice, as always. What has happen with a small dark part of the panorama?
pwatts:
Do you mean the shadow at about 240 on the foreground? This is the tripod head - the image was taken in early morning with a low sun.
vikoster:
No,i mean the dark part of the sky around the 150 - 230 degrees...
pwatts:
ah right - probably the effect of using a polarizing filter.
Bernie:
That's why I don't use a polarizing filter when I pano...
;-)
Excellent shot (as always).
pwatts:
But on the other side - it can deepen the colour saturation and cut out unwanted reflections. The effect seen here is more pronounced with low sun in morning / evening.
Bernie:
Don't misunderstand me...I like polarizing filters (in fact I use them quite frecuently) but I think it makes an excesive difference in contrast when I make a pano. But as I've said, your shot is really nice.
;-)
pwatts:
No worries Bernie, did not take your observation personally - it is a valid technical consideration. :)
